McCormick Place is the premier convention facility in North America. Located just minutes from downtown Chicago, approximately 3 million visitors each year attend events at its campus, and many of these visitors stay at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place. Following a revamp of its public spaces, the property recently renovated all of its South Tower’s 1,258 guestrooms and corridors. The new guestroom and corridor designs were deeply influenced by the architecture, cultural significance, and innovation of Motor Row, once a bustling hub of Chicago’s automobile industry. Couristan collaborated with DLR Group in designing and producing woven Axminster carpets and rugs for the Guestroom Corridors to improve the property’s modern aesthetic flow.
