Hotel Daphne is a 49-room boutique hideaway nestled in Houston’s historic Heights neighborhood. Home to an acclaimed Italian restaurant and a vibrant neighborhood cocktail bar, the property brings a highly anticipated luxury hospitality experience to the area. Drawing inspiration from the Heights’ rich Arts and Crafts heritage and the duality of Daphne’s story—where desire and danger intertwine—the design team at Bunkhouse Hotels crafted interiors that are eclectic, moody, and deeply artistic. Influenced by clandestine neighborhood clubs, layered textures, and distinctive Texas art installations, the hotel exudes an atmosphere of understated sophistication. To complement this vision, Bunkhouse Hotels partnered with Couristan to create custom 80% wool, 20% nylon Axminster carpeting for the Guest Corridors and Elevator Cabs. Rich in texture, color, and pattern, the carpeting serves as a seamless extension of the hotel’s design narrative, enhancing the guest journey while delivering the exceptional durability and performance required for today’s luxury boutique hospitality environments.
