Couristan design studio is proud to present Amber Earth, a sequel to Couristan’s Ambergild Collection.
Our designers drew again on jewels of the earth such as Amber, and raw materials of humbler origin. We considered the use of soil, fiber and clay in the buildings and utensils of tribal cultures. Inspired by the warmth and tactile beauty of raw materials, once so weathered by desert storms or pounding rain, to then be further molded in the artisan’s hands, reworked, shaped, woven, baked, burnished and glazed.
Earth’s natural treasures are formed into vessels that transmute a universal sense of peace and strength into interior spaces. This collection is a springboard to develop exceptional carpet concepts.
