The Burning Tree Country Club is a premier, full-service club located in Greenwich, Connecticut that offers an excellent experience in a family-friendly environment for their members and guests. The club’s recently constructed clubhouse was found by its membership to be slightly lacking in its interior appeal and space appropriateness. The club started to investigate and explore the feasibility of interior improvements, beginning with a preliminary study, that would not dramatically alter the clubhouse footprint but still enhance its members’ enjoyment of the club. JBD JGA Design and Architecture was awarded the responsibility of performing a complete makeover of the clubhouse which included new furniture, lighting, artwork and color selections. Couristan’s ColourOptics Print carpets were used to furbish the floors of the club’s Foyer, Lobby, Pre-Function and Women’s Lounge areas, while a wool and silk hand-tufted rug was used for the club’s Living Room.
