At the heart of Downtown Houston the Hilton Americas-Houston is connected to the George R. Brown Convention Center via a skywalk. Featuring 1,200 guestrooms and over 91,500 square feet of flexible, technologically advance meeting and ballroom space, this AAA Four Diamond property was recognized as the first Green Seal certified hotel in Texas. Couristan’s design team worked diligently with Wilson Associates based in Oakland, California to create these woven Axminster carpets throughout the property’s Ballrooms, Public Spaces, Pre-Function areas, Meeting Rooms, Convention areas and Skywalk. The designs were inspired by the hotel’s exterior facade with its multi-color basketweave architecture. The designs were completed with 3-D geometric accents and elegant swirls that spanned from the Grand Ballroom all the way to the Meeting areas, between three floors without using any pattern repeats.
