A Breckenridge, Colorado destination, The Ranahan is located on the scenic bend in the Blue River, minutes from Breckenridge’s ski resort. The overarching design of this luxury hotel was inspired by the rich mining and ranching history of Breckenridge, combined with a fresh mountain-style twist. Denver based Kimberly Timmons Interiors, designed these custom wood sliced carpet patterns utilizing Couristan’s ColourOptics Print program to produce carpets for the Lobby and Blue River Lounge areas as well as the resort’s Guestroom Corridors. The carpet patterns act as a background to metal I-beams, rustic custom lighting fixtures, comfortable leather furnishings and a cogwheel mining sculpture created by a local artist is a major focal point of the building. The juxtaposition of the warm, inviting and cozy aesthetic combined with the natural materials in the interior architectural detailing, create an original, memorable environment.
